Barbie Gets New Eco Friendly Dream House

Barbie Doll HouseBarbie is trying to reduce her carbon footprint with a new dream house that’s more eco friendly than her previous digs.  The American Institute of Architects and Mattel joined forces to host a design competition to build the new home in conjunction with the release of Architect Barbie, which hits the store shelves Aug. 15, according to the Business Insider. The winners were recent Harvard architect grads Ting Li and Maja Paklar.  The Malibu mansion includes solar panels, low-flow toilet and sink fixtures, energy-saving light bulbs, Bamboo flooring, and a rooftop green house and irrigation system, according to the American Institute of Architects website.
