About Feben Yohannes
The soul of urban living lays in the richness and diversity of its community that is manifested through its Arts and Culture. Born and raised in Ethiopia, an ancient country rich in traditions; Feben’s affinity for the Arts came from her mother Desta Hagos, the first female Ethiopian Artist and a renowned pioneer in her field. Feben received her BA in Economics (Ethiopia) and embarked in a successful global sales and marketing career with companies like Coca-Cola International and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.
Feben’s true passion lies in giving back to the community and in that regard has been an active Board Member of Eveoke Dance Theatre, a unique program that “cultivates Social Action through Evocative Performance, Arts Education and Community Building.” Feben was also Honorary Board Member of the 2009 and 2010 Ten Best Dressed benefitting Mercy Scripps Foundation as well as the Ronald McDonald House of Charities.
