I’m very flattered to be asked by Bill Adams to be UrbDeZine’s representative from the flyover states! I am a longtime land use lawyer, former managing attorney of the Land Use Clinic at the University of Georgia Law School. I recently posted a bit of shameless self-promotion on the Land Use Prof Blog about my new law practice opening soon in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is how Bill found me.
I’m also very involved in the law firm incubator movement. I serve on the board of Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services, an environmental and land use law firm residency program/incubator based in Pittsburgh and in Akron, OH.
I’m planning to blog on various land use and environmental law issues, particularly those related to the West and to the Alleghenies. Topics you might see from me include oil & gas/fracking, local government policy, land conservation, and training the next generation of environmental lawyers. If you’ve got feedback or information for me, feel free to contact me through my website.
